Within the project Environmental Risk Assessment from Mining Activities as a Result of Tailings Storage in the Cross-Border Area Romania–Serbia (ERA-MIN_RO-SRB), Brochure No. 1 has been developed and published. This promotional material provides the first comprehensive overview of the project’s objectives, activities, and expected results. In a clear and engaging way, it explains how joint teams from Serbia and Romania are working to assess the impact of mining activities on air, water, and soil quality, as well as on the health of the local population.
The brochure offers insight into field activities, laboratory analyses, and planned workshops, emphasizing the importance of cross-border cooperation for environmental protection and sustainable regional development. In addition to its technical aspects, it highlights the involvement of local communities, educational and scientific institutions, thereby increasing the transparency of EU funding and encouraging public participation.
Producing such promotional material is important not only for informing project partners but also for the wider public — it raises awareness of environmental risks, showcases project results, and motivates local stakeholders to become actively involved in its activities.
